Sheila Paige began her musical training at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia.  She received her BM degree, magna cum laude, from the Philadelphia Musical Academy where she was a scholarship student of Susan Starr.  She continued her studies with Elizabeth Moschetti in New York and completed her MA at Trenton State College.  An active performer, Ms. Paige has appeared as recitalist and with orchestras both locally and nationally.  Her accompanying credits include an appearance at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center.  Ms. Paige’s performances have been broadcast on national public radio. 

Sheila Paige has over 25 years experience with the work of Dorothy Taubman and for many years was a member of the faculty of the former Dorothy Taubman Institute.  She is also founder and executive director of the Piano Wellness Seminar, an annual summer event at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.  Ms. Paige’s reputation as a teacher attracts pianists nationally and she commutes to Pittsburgh, Dallas, Knoxville, Memphis, Charlotte and Phoenix to teach on a regular basis.  She also teaches at Immaculata University in the Philadelphia area.  Her students include many university faculty members and performers who have appeared with numerous orchestras including the Vienna Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony and London Symphony.  Ms. Paige has gained international recognition as a presenter of lectures and master classes including those at the Taubman Symposium at the Selangor Institute of Music in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Lecture and workshop locations have included Albuquerque, Charlotte, Cherry Hill, NJ, Dallas, Honolulu, Phoenix, Southern Methodist University, the University of Memphis, the University of Texas, Vanderbilt University and the World Piano Pedagogy Conference.
